CHILDREN'S ORGAN RECITAL.

The fourth of the series of organ recitals for school children was given in the Town Hall yesterday afternoon. The Mayor of Auckland, Mr, C. J. Parr, C.M.G., presided, and nearly 3000 children were present from the public schools, the Roman Catholic schools, and the Dilworth Institute. The city organist, Mr. Maughan Barnett, played selections from the works of Mendelssohnr Corelli, Massenet, Mascagni, and Rossini. Short addresses were delivered by the Mayor, Mr. (i. J. Garland, chairman of the Education Board, and Brother George, of the Sacred Heart CoiWe, At the conclusion of the programme cheers were given for the Mayor and Mrs. Parr, and also for the city org mist.
