MANUKAU AND FRANKLIN. TnE Otahuhu branch of the Liberal League met on Wednesday evening in tho public hall. Mr. Nod well, president of the branch, becupied tho chair, and there were about 20 members" present. An executivo was elected. Mr. R. M. Gatenby, president of the Hawke's Bay branch of the league, who is touring several of the North Island electorates as organiser. delivered an address. Mr. Geo. Wilkinson, Opposition organiser for Manukau, also addressed the meeting. It is understood that a well-known farmer will oppose Mr. Massey in Franklin. There are five Opposition candidates for the Manukau seat. After they have addressed the electors the branches will make a selection, the choice being finally made by a majority vote.
