CONSTRUCTION OF STATIONS
DIFFICULTIES OVERCOME. DELAY NOW ENDED. By Telegraph— Association— i (Received July 17, 9.30 p.m.) London, July 17. The Postmaster-General, Mr. Herbert Samuel, stated in the House of Commons to-day that construction difficulties had delayed the completion of the Imperial chain of wireless stations, but the difficulties had been practically overcome. The masts had been constructed in England and Egypt from material sent from East Africa, India and Singapore. COMMONWEALTH LAW CUIT. ——«- SETTLEMENT ACHIEVED. (Received July 17, 0 p.m.) Melbourne, July 17. | After a conference with the manager I of the Australasian Wireless Company . and the Commonwealth Crown Law j authorities, the Postmaster-General, Mr. Agar Wynne, announced to-day that lie I intended to recommend to the Cabinet I that the wireless litigation between the I Marconi Company and the Commonwealth should bo settled on the following I terms:—
That the action against the Commonwealth (or infringement of potent rights be withdrawn, also all opposition te the use of the Balsillio system in Australia; t.iat the company wants a licenso for the tse of the Marconi patents, including the i -acquired Goldschmidt patents, in Australia, and for the purpose of communication with New Zealand; that the •company receive from the Commonwealth £5000. "
