September 12—New South Wales v. New Zealand, at Auckland. NOTES AND COMMENTS. The only local match set down for this afternoon is the game, between North Shore and West End. The other match, Auckland v. Ponsonby, has been postponed in order that the association might send a strong team to Whitianga to play the local representatives L. Stewart will probably captain the team, whilst C. H. Palmer is acting as manager. At a meeting of the executive committee held on Tuesday it was decided to invite the Whitianga representatives to play here on the afternoon of August 29.
