The Under-Secretary to the Home Department, Mr. Ellis Griffiths, sympathetically received a deputation to-day advocating women police. Mr. Griffiths said that there were prejudices against women in public positions and even more against women as constables. He recognised, however, that the deputation represented a great body of public opinion.
