The following were the closing rates for colonial mining stocks on the London Stock Exchange to-day: — Talisman Consolidated, buyers 30s, sellers 355.
Business was quiet on tho sharemarket yesterday. In investment lines buyers of New Zealand Insurances advanced to £6 8s 6d, with sellers firm at £6 10s. Nationals were looked for at 53s 6d, and South British at 92h 6d. Northern Steamships, paid up, sold at (14s 9d) and con- ] tributing issue were done at (6s 8d). t In mining lines Talismans sold at 33s ; and 33s 3d, sellers closing at 33s 3d, ( buyers at 33s. Waihis were done at 41s, ; with further buyers at 41s 3d, and sellers i at 41s 6d. Waihi Grand Junctions wore « held at 26s 9d, buyers 26s 6d.
