MOUNT ALBERT SOCIETY

The weekly meeting of the Mount Albert Literary Society was held on Mondp.y night in King George's Hall, Mount Albert. Tho president (Mr. W. D. M. Glaister) occupied tho-chair. The programmes for the evening, which was in charge of Mr. T. Finlay, was of a varied nature, but chiefly comprised elocutionary items, and there was also a pianoforte duet by Mrs. Tiarks and Miss Eleon, a song by Mr. Stevenson, readings by Mrs. Merritt and Mr. Glaister, recitations by Miss Spragg, Messrs. Atwood, Topham, Walker, A. Sexton, W. Fowlds and R. Finlay.
