The famous Braes of Balquhiddcr and the valley in which Loch Voif and Loch Dome are eituated are threatened with destruction by a scheme for increasing tho water supply of Glasgow. Several persons have written to the Times remonstrating against this proposed vandalism in a district made sacred by the genius of Scott and Wordsworth. Thero are other sources of supply that could 10 tapped without sacrificing the beautiful sconery of this part of Scotland.
