BEAR'S DRUNKEN ORGIE.
RAGING THROUGH A TOWN.
After- escaping from the cage in which he had been confined, a large cinnamon bear created a considerable disturbance in a Philadelphia town recently. Bruin was a performing member of a circus, and evidently ha 3 a taste for firewater. After gaining his liberty he made for a saloon, where he drank the contents of a couple of bottles* of whisky, which he found behind the bar. He then sallied forth into the street.
Rolling from side to side, the big beast defined every effort of the cowboys, who had hurriedly been summoned from the show to lasßoo him. He lurchod into several teams, throwing the horses into terror. Showcases and everything moveable that happened to be in his way were toppled, including several pedestrians. Finally tiring of the sport, bruin climbed to the top girder of a bridge, where he unsteadily danced, while the admiring throng from a distance cheered. A cowboy finally lassoed him..
