RAILWAY CONSTRUCTION.

Recently the provincial executive of the New Zealand Farmers' Union passed a resolution in which it was urged that the construction of tho East Coast and North Auckland railways should be pushed on as rapidly as possible. Tho resolution was forwarded to tho Minister for Public Walks (the Hon. W. Eraser), who has just replied, informing the executive that itfl representations in regard to the railway works mentioned had been noted and would have careful consideration.
