IMMUNITY FOR TWO MONTHS.
TRAVELLING RESTRICTIONS.
EARLY REMOVAL EXPECTED.

Wklmnotmc, Wednesday. In reply to a question concerning the restrictions at present imposed upon the travelling of natives, the Minister for Public Health (the Hon. R, H. Rhodes) stated to-day that he hoped to be in a position to removo the embargo after the end of the present month. "It is now over two months," he said, "sinCe the last case of tho epidemic was reported, And as -Jui)6 is regarded as a month in which infection is very liable to oconr, the position will be regarded as very Satisfactory if n6 ease is reported by the first of July." If such is the case, the Minister proposes to remove the • restrictions after that date. Officers of the Department are still travelling, through the outlying portions of the North and vaccinating tho Maoris who have not yet submitted themselves to that operation.
