A prehistoric account of the deluge has been found by Dr. amongst some Baylonian tablets disinterred at Nippur. It is believed to be the original of that preserved in Genesis. ; The same tablet also contains a reference to the Fall of Man. This is the first reference to the Fall found in Babylonian literature.
