CHILD'S DEAD BODY. LINER'S CREW ATTACKED,' ALL LIFEBELTS TAKEN. Times and Sydney Sun Servicer Quebec, June 2. The Mayor to-day had to decide tho parcntship of a child who was killed on the Empress of Ireland. Two fathers claimed the body. The Mayor compared the features of the two men and also of the dead mother, and awarded the coffin to a Toronto claimant.
Mr. Lionel Kent, of Montreal, declares that tho crew of the Empress of Ireland knew tho whereabouts of the lifebelts, provided themselves with them, and left the passengers to search'vainly.
