SALVATION ARMY.

In connection with the twenty-fifth anniversary o! the Newton Salvation Army corps, a successful tea, followed by a public meeting, was held in the KarrnMis last evening. Adjutant ThurkettJc. who presided over the largo and representative gathorinc, gave as address on the work of the Salvation Army in Auckland. An attractive musical programme was rendered during tho evening, the following contributing items Adjutant and tos. Thurkettle, Ensipi and Mrs. Harael (of Canada), and Adjutant Gordons.
