BUSINESS LIFE.
THE MAN OF THE FUTURE. WfIAT -will the business man of the future be like? This question was discussed by Mr. H. B. Morgan at a meeting held in London in connection .with the national movement to promote efficiency in advertising and selling. Mr. H. E. : Morgan's picture of the business, man of the- future should be the ideal of his predecessor of to-day. Here are some of the qualities that the former will, according to Mi*. Morgan, possess:— tion—keen, but controlled.. Strong character— leader, not the driver. Greater, attention v to physical health and fltneßs. The physique and stamina of the' business man in "the days to come will play a more important part than ever.' It is ;'; Mr. Morgan's belief'that the. business man of the future will avoid stimulants during business hours, and will keep his body in. such a state of fitness as to obviate their necessity. The manners '; of the business world are certainly improving, ;. in the rush of the futuro good manners will do much to smooth the wheels of commerce. Mr. Morgan'holds strong views on the question of leadership. "I believe," ho said, "that the business man of the'futuro will be a real leader; that his character will inspire- loyalty, his capacity enthusiasm and belief, and that,*while he must always* direct, he will not always be directing. One of the. evils of our business of to-day is; the lack of confidence reposed, by the average employer in his employees. We want more 01 the attitude' which suggests on the part of the master : .'I lead. Yam whero the fight is thickest, but I depend on you, and it is .with your support that I can win through.'" , .

The man was dolighted with the opportunity, and the next day, after seeing the result of his work, he bought the camera. This dealer in cases whore persons interested in highgrado instruments : are not known to him, often leaves the supply counter in charge of the clerks and takes the prospect' out for a walk, during which ho and the prospect take turns at difficult pictures. They go back to the shop and develop the pictures. He has made sales of highgrade instruments 'in; two or three; hours in this manner, when, he says/ tho same customer might come time and again atil look at the instrument, undecided whether he ought to invest or not, because'of his uncertainty of his ability to operate it; V
