TWO NEW POST OFFICES.
KAKAIII AND WALTON.
The Public Works Department is calling for tenders for the erection ofi two post offices, one for Kakahi and the othen lor Walton.
Plans for the Kakahi post offico show a neatly-designed wooden structure of one storey erected on a concrete foundation. Provision is made for dwelling rooms in the building. The office portion consists of a public space lift 6in by 9ft, in which postal facilities aro provided. A telephone bureau, a storeroom, and telephone exchange are included in the plans. There is also to be a mailroom 14ft 6in by _ 21ft. The dwelling portion consists of" two fair-sized bedrooms, kitchen, and parlour, in addition to all conveniences. The building for Walton will be a smaller structure. A one-stcrey wooden building on concrete foundations is planned. It will have a mailroom 14ft by lift, a telephone transmission room 4ft by 6ft Gin. a public bureau 6ft 6in by 4ft. while the public space will bo sft by 9ft. Provision is also made for posting boxes.
