POSTPONED ' CELEBRATIONS.

Owing to the inclemency of the weather en St. Patrick's Day the local festivities, which had to be abandoned, will be held to-morrow. The procession will leave St. Patrick's Cathedral at 11 a.m., accompanied by the Auckland Garrison and Onehunga Bands, for the Domain Cricket Ground. A fine programme of athletic events has been arranged, and the children of the Catholic schools will perform a. series of evolutions, terminating with a grand spectacular scene, the whole 2000 children forming the words "Ireland a Nation." In the evening in the concert chamber of the Town Hall a grand national concert will be given in which Miss Teresa McEnros, of- Wellington, will appear, assisted by local talent and the children of the Catholic schools-
