DISAPPOINTED MINERS.

FEELING IN YORKSHIRE.

170,000 MEN GIVE NOTICE,

FORMIDABLE DISPUTE.

By Telegraph— Press Association— Copyright.

(Received March 15, 6.10 p.m.)

London, March 14. Matters have reached a crisis regarding the appointment of chairmen to the Minimum Wage and Conciliation Boards. The men object to the official appointments, and a ballot of the miners in Northumberland has been decided upon to sec whether or not they arc agreeable to strike regarding the matter.

In Yorkshire feeling is especially keen, and a fortnight's notice has been given on behalf of 170,000 of the miners in that country.
