SATURDAY'S BUSINESS.
Bt.-si.vess on the Stock Exchange was a little brighter on Saturday. In standard stocks Bank of New Zealands were disposed of at (£l2), and more were on offer at £12 Is 6d, but further buyers did not quote. New Zealand Insurances were in demand at £5 14s, while sellers held for j £5 15s 6d. Auckland Gas realised 27s 9d, j and there were more sellers at 28s. and l buyers at 27s 9d. j | In mining lines both Waihis and Wailii 1 Grand Junctions were slightly firmer. The I former sold at 46s 3d, and more were in i demand at that price, but late sellers, asked 46s 6d. Waihi Grand Junctions changed hands at 25s 9d. and morn were on otter at that figure, buyers quoting 25s 6d. Parcels of Ross Goldfields were- exchanged at from 3s 9d to 4s to 3s lid.
