On completion of dis charge, she will probably load timber at one of the Northern ports for Australia. j The Huddart-Parker steamer Westralia is timed to leave Wellington this evening for way ports and Auckland. The vessel is due here on Thursday morning. The collier Kaiapoi left Westport at midnight on "Saturday for Auckland with a full cargo of coal. She is due here early on Wednesday morning. The Huddart-Parker steamer Victoria arrived from Southern and East Coast ports shortly before noon yesterday, and berthed at the Queen's Wharf. She is timed to sail on the return voyage at 3 p.m. to-morrow. Mr. J. Birch, wharfinger for the Union Company at Auckland, who has been in indifferent health of late, is at present on holiday leave at Te Aroha. Mr. McJntyre, who has i been waiting instructions at Auckland, has joined the Mai tai as extra officer. The Karamu left Onchunga on Saturday for Picton to load chaff for Onehunga. Shi. is due at the West Coast port on Wednesday morning, and sails the same day for West port to load coal for Napier. Tho Federal-Shire liner Banffshire arrived at Wellington early on Saturday morning from Melbourne. The vessel is loading frozen T meat and general cargo for Boston and New York, for which ports she sails to-morrow. The Scales liner Clan Macdonald completed 'oading her Auckland cargo at the King's Wharf on Saturday evening, and was then removed to an anchorage in the stream. Owing to several members of the crew absenting themselves from the ship, she diet not get away for Napier until early yesterday morning. The Clan Macdonald loaded over 3000 bales of wool, and a large quantity of kauri gum and flax at this port. From Napier she proceeds to Lyttelton and Wellington to complete her loading for Dunkirk ana London. The Monowai, which arrived at Dunedin yesterday . from Auckland and East Coast ports, is timed to sail on the return trip tomorrow afternoon. She is due back here on Sunday morning, March 22. On her return to Sydney from the Islands this trip, the Atua will go into dock for repairs. Her running will be taken by the Paloona, which leaves Sydney on March 26 for the South Sea Islands. Mr. A. C. McMaster has rejoined the Kauri as chief engineer, relieving Mr. A. Sadler, who has come ashoro for orderß. Captain R. Crawford, of tho Tofua, has returned from holiday leave, and "is spending a few days in Dunedin prior to returning to Sydney to take command of his vessel. Captain W. J. Carey left the Kauri at Wellington last week. Captain J. Morley is now in command. The Maoriland Company's steamer Ennerdale left Port Huon (Tasmania) on Wednesday evening last, timber laden, for Dunedin' and Lyttelton. The R.M.S. Moana is due to arrive at Wellington on March 26 from San Francisco, via Papeete and Rarotonga. She sails the following day for Sydney direct. After discharging London cargo at Nelson, the New Zealand Shipping Company's chattered Bteamer Suffolk will commence her Homeward loading. She will visit Waitara. Tokomaru Bay, and Lyttelton, and will leave the last-named port about April 6 for London. The Now Zealand Shipping Company's liner Kaikoura, which is to leave Wellington to-morrow for Lyttelton with remainder of cargo from London, will afterwards load at Lyttelton, Timaru. Napier, and Wellington. The vessel leaves the latter port finally on April 9 tor London, via ports. Heavy seas in Cook Strait have considerably delayed the Government steamer Tutanekai in her cable repair work. The vessel returned to Worser Bay on Thursday last for shelter. Mr. A. H. According to latest, advices received by the local agent 3 lor the American and Australian Line, the chartered steamer Inverkip, en route from New York, is expected to leave Sydney on March 25 for Auckland, Wellington. Lyttelton. and Dunedin. The vessel should arrive here about March 30. and has 450 tons of cargo to land. KAITUNA FOR THURSDAY ISLAND. The Union Company's collier Kaituna completed discharging her cargo of coal at the Hobson Wharf on Saturday afternoon, and sailed in the eve/ling for Westport. At the West Coast port she will load a cargo of Admiralty coal for delivery to the Australian warships at Thursday Island. RIVERINA ARRIVES EARLY. At 10 a.m. yesterday the Huddart-Parker liner Riverina, Captain Entwisle. arrived in the stream at Auckland from Sydney direct, after a creditable and fine weather passage of three days 19 hours. The vessel berthed at the Queen's Wharf, where she was medica'ly inspected by the port health officer. She brought 160 first, second, and third-class passengers, and over 1100 tons of general cargo tor New Zealand, including transhipments from the following vessels:—Moorabool, Katoomba. Wyreema, Wandilla, Age, Gabo, Dim boo! &, from Commonwealth ports; Ventura, from San Francisco; Taiyuaa, Nikko

Maru. and Aldenham, from Eastern ports; Turuf, Runic. Freiderich der Grosse, Griefswald, Pfalz. Zielen. Surrey, Medina, Stolberg, Australia, Sumatra, Hellenic, and Canstatt. from British and Continental ports. The Riverina is timed to Bail at 5.30 p.m. to-day for Sydney direct. MESSAGE FROM STAR OF SCOTLAND. A wireless message received last night from Captain West, of the Tyser liner Star of Scotland stated that the vessel will arrive at Auckland about midnight to-morrow, from London, via Melbourne and Sydney. THE NAVUA. The Union Company's island steamer Navua arrived at Auckland last evening from Wellington direct, after a. fine weather passago of under 48 hours. The vessel berthed at the Ilobson Wharf in readiness to commence loading for the South Sea Islands She is now timed to soil at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, for Fiji Samoa, and Tonga, two hours earlier than previously announced. NAIRNSHIRE FOR LOADING. At 6.30 a.m. on Saturday the Federal-Shire liner Nairnshire arrived at Auckland from Gisbornc, and berthed at the King's Wharf to commence loading tor West ot England ports. The vessel is lilting a large quantity of frozen meat and other products at ;his port, and sails on Wednesday morning tor -yttelton and Wellington to complete her oading. She is to be despatched from tho latter port about March 28 for Avonmoulh, via Las Palmas. LIVERPOOL TO AUCKLAND. The Federal-Shire Line's movements in the Liverpool New Zealand passenger and cargo service are as follows:— Ihe Buteshire left Liverpool on January 17, and is due at Auckland about March 23, via Melbourne and Sydney. The Westmeath left the Home port, on February 14, and is due here about April 20. The Morayshire was to have left Liverpool on Saturday last for the four New Zealand main ports. She will be followed by the Durham, which is timed to leave the Home port on April 11. NEW SERVICE TO HULL. The New Zealand Shipping Company liner Rakaia will inaugurate the new service between New Zealand and Hull, in addition to London as a port of discharge. As this rorvico is not yet opened up. it is probable that the Rakaia will make London her first port of call this trip, and then proceed lo Hull. She is at present discharging at Sydney, and will come to Auckland about March 26 to commence loading, afterwards visiting various Southern ports to complete.
