ASSISTANT MASTERS.

The March meeting of the Auckland Public Schools' Assistant Masters' Association was held at the Masonic Hall on Saturday evening, Mr. H. J. Wooller presiding.

For the July conference of the N.Z.E.I. the following gentlemen were nominated as delegates by the associa—Messrs. A. W. Dunlop, H. A. Darrow, H. K. Burns, 8.A., and T. F. Warren, B.A.

Mr. H. A. E. Milnes, B.Sc, principal of the Auckland Training College, read his very interesting paper on " Commonsense in Education." On the motion of the president, a hearty vote of thanks was accorded Mr. Milnes.

The following gentlemen contributed to the social success of the evening: Messrs. C. Wilson, A. Murdoch, F. R Wilson, H. J. Wooller, H. J. Hill and H. Matthew. '
