UNUSUAL COMPENSATION CLAIM:

. [BY. telegraph.— press ASSOCIATION.] Wellington', Friday. JrDGMF.vr was delivered by the Arbitration Court this afternoon in a compensation, case, Antona Nicholson v. Walter Francis Grundrie, in which the plaintiff nought to recover £513 in respect of the death oJ her husband. The parties resided in Martinborough. Mr. T. Jordan, of Maaterton, appeared for plaintiff arid Mr. A. "W. "'Blair for defendant. It was alleged by the plaintiff that her husband while in defendant's employ as a saddler, in Martinborough, in May last, ran an nwi into his hand, as a result of which bo contracted blood poisoning and died.

The defence denied plaintiff's allegation and • suggested that the injury had been received by deceased while he wa3 engaged in stacking wood.in his own yard. Mr. Justice Stringer, in delivering the Court's decision, said the Court thought that the plaintiff had made out her case.
