But instead, and here the smile /becomes broader, say they" will only increase the price of gas by 3d per 1000 ft. Mine is only an ordinary dwelling, the meter rent of which would not be more than 6d. On reference to my gas bills I bud I use upwards of 3000 ft of gas per month, so I shall be charged at least 50 per cent, more by this increase than if I paw the meter rent. To large consumers it will be more in proportion. For a temporary loss to the Gas Company occasioned by the rise in the price of coal owing to the strike the company propose making a permanent profit out of the consumers. Consumes.
