London," January 30. Therk is at present on a visit to England Mr. H. Fisher' (Wellington) inventor of the patent Fisher lifeboat. It will be recalled that one of his unique craft was constructed at Bootle last autumn, and subjected to severe tests at the Liverpool docks. Mr. Fisher lias brought the boat to London, and by permission of the Port of London Authority, has her moored off the steps at Westminster Bridge. The craft has aroused great curiosity, and has been visited' by large numbers "of people. Members of;some of the principal shipping firms have also inspected the lifeboat and cross-examined Mr. Fisher as touts merits.
