NORTHCOTE REGATTA. The third annual Northcote and Birkenhead regatta was held off Northcote Point on Saturday afternoon. Perfect weather provailed, though a stronger breeze would have been more favourable for the sailing events. Following are the results: — First-class Yachts: • Decima 1, Celox 2, Starloch 3. The Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron held a race to metre measurement on Saturday afternoon, the course selected being twice round the harbour course. The weather was exceptionally light, and the yachts just managed to get round once. The yachts finished in the following order: —lorangi, Rawene. Victory, Kotiri. Thistle. The handicaps will be known in the course of the week, as some of the yachts have still to be measured. POWER-BOAT ASSOCIATION. RACES TO COWES. Two races from ' King's Wharf to Cowes Bay ■ were held by the New Zealand Powerboat Association on Saturday. The class A boats took the outside course to and the launches in the B class took the inside course. Following are the results: — Class A Kiri'a, handicap Ih 28m, started 22s late, finishing time 6m 35s past 5 p.m., 1; Media, 50m, 12s late. 8m 57s past 5, 2; Sterling, Bm, 13s late, 11m 34s past 5, 3; Scripps 111., sex., 7s late, 11m 36s past 5; Oban, 68m. lis late, 11m 44s past 5; Sun- ; ray. 60m, 4m 58s late, 37m 43s past 6: Waiata, lh 16m, 23s late, 40m 4a past 5. Class B: Drayton, 44m, 19s late, 15m 21s past 6, 1; Kotahi, 51m, 15s late, 17m 26s past 5. 2 : Sister Dora, 28m, 10s late, 24m 33b past 5, 3. The three leading boats were followed by Adelaide 28m, Pastime 22m, Symbol scr., Gretehen 6m, Elsma 7m, Marjory C. • 28m, in that order. RACE FOR LADIES. The Victoria Cruising Club, in conjunction with the Ponsonby Club, held a race for boats steered by ladies on Saturday. Each club gave its own prize, and though the one race decided for both clubs, each club had its separate handicaps for the yachts. The race for the Victoria Club's prizes resulted:—Calypso (Miss Hedkt), 1; Sadie (Miss Hamden), 2; Waireke {Miss Doyle), 3.
