New Yohk, March 1. • A woman, who has been in the shadow of the gallows for nearly 13 years for killing her husband, Mrs. Kate Edwards, of Read° ing, Pennsylvania, has been released under a Governor's pardon. She was taken secretly from the city and was sent away to begin life over again. She was convicted of murder of the first degree in 1901, and the Court sentenced her to be hanged, hut no judge could be found to fix the day of execution, although four were approached. Mrs. Edwards has fcve children in various State.'-.
