Shaw of Rockhampton, Queensland is at present on a visit to Auckland after a lour through the united Stares. Mr. Sha.v is a native of Auckland. Dr. Percy Finite who returned to New Zed.md as turg'on of the steamer Ayrshire has been appointed medical superintendent of the Thames hospital for six month*. during the absence on leave of Dr. Walshe.
