Shaw of Rockhampton, Queensland is at present on a visit to Auckland after a lour through the united Stares. Mr. Sha.v is a native of Auckland. (lasquoine, nt'inapei of the State to.:! depot, Wellington, and hi" wife, arrived from Rot-orua yesterday and aro staving at th 1 Star Hotel. I hey will return to Wellington on Monday. Dr. Percy Finite who returned to New Zed.md as turg'on of the steamer Ayrshire has been appointed medical superintendent of the Thames hospital for six month*. during the absence on leave of Dr. Walshe.
