FIRST TEST MATCH. THE AUSTRALIAN TEAM. [BY TELEGEAPH.—PEESS ASSOCIATION.] Dunedih, Thursday. Rain fell at intervals to-day, but cleared off late in the afternoon, and, if the weather keeps good the wicket should be in firstclass order to-morrow. The following is the Australian team;— (captain), Armstrong, Waddy, McKenzie, Collins, Cody, Mailey. McGregor, Trumper, Crawford, Dolling. Ransford is not available, having left after the South Canterbury match, to catch the Sydney boat at Wellington. A GENEROUS OFFER. [BT telegraph.— ASSOCIATION.] Chmstchurch. Thursday. In connection with the return match to bo played in Christchurch by Mr. Sims's Australian team, the Canterbury Cricket Association and the Canterbury Rugby Union, juint owners of Lancaster Park, havo received, on behalf of the team, a very generous offer. The team proposes to give the whole of the proceeds of the match to the two bodies mentioned. This, it is estimated, is equivalent to a gift of £300 or £400.
