In connection with the return match to bo played in Christchurch by Mr. Sims's Australian team, the Canterbury Cricket Association and the Canterbury Rugby Union, juint owners of Lancaster Park, havo received, on behalf of the team, a very generous offer. The team proposes to give the whole of the proceeds of the match to the two bodies mentioned. This, it is estimated, is equivalent to a gift of £300 or £400.
