! i Hastings, Tuesday. The Hawke's Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Society's thirteenth annual autumn I show was opened to-night. The entries number about the same as last year. There is a magnificent display of fruit, apples and pears being the strongest features- of the section. There is also the best display of roots seen at a local show. The grounds and produce shed are illuminated with electricity and the innovation of evening sessions was fully availed of.
