EXHIBITION TOWER.
VISITORS' BOOK. The following expressions have been recorded by a number of our overseas' visitors :— , A Londoner gives it as his opinion that the best view of fairy fountain" is obtained from the tower. A . New Yorker's expression was "Gee whizz" ; whilst a party hailing from San Francisco considered it "A Swell View." Another New Yorker considered it absolutely the pick of the South." A resident of Marseilles stated "the view was magnificent and attractive." A Fiji resident wrote down that he was "'quite delighted with all he had seen." It was very pleasing to note the number of complimentary remarks recorded by our friends from the Southern cities. A prominent resident in Wellington recorded "Picturesque aspect"; whilst another complimented us by a "Well done! Auckland." A visitor from Dunedin Didn't think Auckland was so beautiful" ; one from Cbristchurch considered the view to be "An education." Another from the same place recorded it " the only place where it is cool." A gentleman hailing from Greymouth was strouglv of the opinion that "all coasters should come up here." A resident of Waiuku (not a Scotchman) considered that as there was " plenty to see" it was Die " best flixpennyworth'in Exhibition." From time to time we have recorded the interest taken in the telescope established on the promenade. One visitor, who had evidently been making good use of the opportunity afforded him of testing the strength of the telescope, stated in the remarks column that he had been able to " see fish jumping in the Harbour" (this is not a fish story, but an actual fact. Realise for yourself that such things are possible). We regret that space does not permit, on this occasion, of our publishing further remarks made by those who have visited the tower, but from our observation we have no hesitation in recommending all visitors to the Exhibition to avail themselves of the opportunity of obtaining a unique view of the Waitemata, Auckland city, and suburbs —in fact the whole of Creator Auckland and surroundings to a distance of over 10 miles.
