BANK NOTES STOLEN.

CASHIER PLEADS GUILTY.

London, January 14. A man named Walter Robson, for many years cashier in the London office of the Commercial Bank of Australia, who was charged with having stolen £7000 in bank notes from the bank, pleaded guilty to-day.

A sum of £4500 has been accounted for. The case was adjourned until February 10 in order to allow the accused an opportunity to furnish an explanation regarding the balance of £2500.
