HAWKERS' DEPUTATION,

MINISTERIAL LENIENCY. Times-Sydney Sun Special Cable. London, January 14. The Drury Lane orange women yesterday formed a deputation and waited on Mr. McKenna (Home Secretory) to plead for permission to continue to sell their wares. The women sat in the rear of the room with their baskets of fruit, while the spokesman stated their case.

When Mr. McKenna promised to rescind the police instructions, the women all stood up, shouting, " God bless you !"
