Oovernment will not introduce the Naval Bill until assured of a majority in the Senate. The speech from the Throne at the fvning of Parliament disclosed the fart that the Cabinet is taking the stand that, if the Senate again rejects the Naval Bill, such action will serve only to deepen the tinfortun.it/- impression already made throughout the Empire and abroad. Mr. Borden (Premier) accordingly intends to defer introducing the Naval Bill until in the normal course of events the Conservatives secure a majority in the Senate. The Government will devote the present session to the redistribution of seats necessitated by the great increase of the population.
