A special public meeting, under the auspices of the Order of the Star in the East, was held last evening in the Masonic Hall. The general subject of the addresses was " Preparing for His Coraine." and Mr. J. R. Thomson gave an interesting address on " How to Prepare the Wat." Miss C. W. Christie gave a convincing address, taking as her subject, "The Parable of the Talents." During; the evening vocal solos were rendered by Mrs, Hamilton Hodges and Mr. C. Q. Chambers, of Wanganui. Follow the style to "The Broadway."
