HIMITANGI TOUCHES ROCK.

HELPLESS OFF CHATHAM ISLAND. [PY TELEGRAPH-PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Sunday. The General Post Office was advised tonight by the Chathams wireless station that the Himitangi touched a rock on the north side of Big Island, and stripped her propeller. She is row anchored and is helpless. The Himitangi is a vessel of 323 gross tons, employed by the Chatham Island Fishing Company, Ltd. She carries fish to Lyttelton and Wellington, and returns thence to Chatham Islands with ordinary carwo.
