While pleading yesterday in the Reichstag for the abolition of the duel, Herr Erbengcr, of the Centre, said an institution existed in Berlin for hiring out so-called men of honour, whose object was to lead wives astray. In this manner, grounds which could not be overlooked were provided for a duel, and men whose presence was undesirable to certain parties had to fight against hired bullies. Herr Erbenger added that the polico and the Public Prosecutor were aware of the existence of this institution. *
