At mid-day the camp was handed over to the uniformed police force to watch. It was stated that arrangements havo been made whereby the men can be called together if required at very short notice. Colonel Richardson, who has been in charge of the camp, .paid it would be impossible to speak too highly of the conduct of the men in camp. Nobody had shirked his work, and excellent discipline had been maintained. What had impressed him particularly had been the lack of complaints, especially when the men carried out their guard duty during the recent inclement weather. " A finer body of men I have never come across," added the colonel Every man was willing to do his snare o. work, and in consequence there was no grumbling."
