AQUATICS.

POWER-BOAT PICNIC. About 17 or 18 power-boats journeyed to Karaka Bay on Saturday, where tho New Zealand Power-boat Association's picnic was held. The strong south-westerly wind raised a fairly heavy sea in the harbour, and in consequence many members of the association who had intended making the trip remained nt home. The boats made good time to the bay, where several sports events were decided, under the management of Commodore Jaggs and a strong committee. A very pleasant afternoon was spent at the bay, but a heavy head sea raado matters unpleasant on the run home.
