TOYS FOR THE TOYLESS: AN APPEAL.
Sir,—Would you kindly grant me space to male an appeal to tile chasitably-dis-posed in regard to the above object? i With the assistance of my friends 1 am ' once more trying to make Christmas bright for the very poorest children of Auckland, by providing them with a " treat" and -mail gifts. I would like to make it clear that these gifts arc only for the poor little children who would otherwise receive nothing at all at Christmas, and I feel sure there are many kind people who would be glad to help'me in this undertaking, either in gifts of toys..sweets, or a small subscription. I am .working hard to obtain 700 presents by Saturday. December 20. Any contribution sent me will be gratefully acknowledged, and the givers will have the consolation of knowing that they have brought joy and pleasure to many a lonely little heart at Christmas time. Sister Esther is helping me in the work of finding those poor little people. Please help me in any small way you can. Savings Bank, Zok Bartlet.
Ponsonby. 'Phone 274.
