Public Notice is hereby given that the following By-laws have been duly made by the Auckland City Council, and arc now in force, viz.:— By-laws of the Auckland City Council, made in pursuance of the powers and provisions contained in " The Municipal Cor- £ orations Act, 1908," " The Auckland omain .Vesting Act, 1893," "The Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908." and in pursuance of all and every the other powers in that behalf contained in any other Act enabling the said Council in that behalf. The Auckland City Council doth hereby, by Special Order, ordain as follows: — 1. Thcso By-laws shall be read with and as extending and amending By-laws No. 2 of the City of Auckland, and words herein used shall have the samo moaning and be interpreted in the same way as tho same words when used in the said By-laws. 2. All vehicles being driven in or through the Domain and the drivers thereof and passengers therein shall be subject to the control of the Traffic Inspector or other officer appointed by the Auckland City Council for the purpose, and Sections 3 to 9 inclusive of this By-law shall apply to such vehicles, drivers, and passengers respectively. 3. Tho driver of any vehicle in the Domain before stopping or turning shall give tho following signals to guide any other driver as to his intentions, namely: — (1) Before turning to the right he shall hold out the right arm and horizontally to tho right. (2) When preparing to stop, ho shall hold up tho right forearm and hand vertically, the upper arm being horizontal. (3) On slowing down he shall hold out the right arm and hand horizontally to the right, but with a backward patting motion from tho wrist. 4. No vehicle shall pass another vohicle proceeding in tho same direction. 5. Upon setting down passengers at any ontiance to the Exhibition grounds in the Domain the driver of any vehicle shall either proceed straight on a'hd leave the Domain with such vehicle, or shall go right inside the Garage which will be established. 6. The driver of a vehicle shall keep such vehicle as near as practicable to the lefthand or near side of the road. 7. No vehicle shall be allowed to stand still or loiter. 8. The driver of any vehicle using the Domain shall carry proper lights and light and keep the same burning after sunset and before sunrise. 9. No person shall drive any motor-car in the Domain unless such motor-car shall have attached to it a bell, horn, whistlo or other means of giving audible notice of its approach as shall be approved by tho Traffic Inspector to the Auckland City Council, or shall fail or neglect whenever necessary, to give audible notice of the position or approach of such motor-car by sounding such bell, horn, whistle, or other instrument.
