Times-Sydney Sun Special Cable. St. Petersburg, December 8. A gang of 63 men, known as " The Demons of the Steppes" has been captured at Ekaterinodar, in Caucasia. They are charged with 35

murders.

Generally, they sprinkled petroleum over their victims and burned them alive.

Indescribable atrocities are imputed to the band, which only recently is said to have massacred one family of 12 people and robbed the bodies.
