CAUGHT IN MACHINERY.
INJURIES PROVE FATAL.
The death occurred at the hospital yesterday of Edgar Walters, a single man, 48 years of age, who was admitted last Tuesday suffering from injuries received by being caught' in some machinery. Walters, who lived in Princes Street, Devonport. was employed in the Takapuna Dairy Company's pasteurising factory in Victoria Road, Devonport. While he was filling a tank his clothing caught on. some shafting, causing injuries to the spine and paralysis of both legs. The deceased had had an unfortunate career as regards accidents. Some time ago he fell between two ferry boats, and was laid up for six months. On other occasions he fell from tne roof of a house, and a_ distance of 30ft from a ladder. ' An inquest will be held at the mortuary at 8.45 a.m. to-day.
