DOMINION SHOW.

FIRST DAY ON WEDNESDAY.

KEEN COMPETITION EXPECTED. The Auckland A. and P. Association's iDominion Show, which is to commence on j Wednesday next, promises to be a very {successful event. As a rule the associa* tion holds its spring show in November, .but this year, in view of the Exhibition. ,it was resolved that the carnival should take place next week. The Exhibition authorities have arranged their programme so that there may be effective co-opera-tion with the A. ami P. Association in bringing the show to a successful issue. I Entries for the dairy classes have been received from Dunedin, and as far north as North Cape, and this speaks well for the popularity with which the show is held |in the estimation of the farming community in the whole Dominion. Besides, . the dairy stock farmers in Hawked Eav, Marlon, Hunterville, Feilding, Palmerrton I North, and other districts intend to despatch horses, cattle, and sheep for com- | petition. The horse-ring events also promise to be liberally patronised. P.-izcs to the value of £2200 in cash are to be distributed. The show continues over lluirsday, Friday, and Saturdav, and on the fourth day the special feature is to be presented—the grand parade. This event is always an attraction, an on the coming occasion should be extremely interesting.
