CROSS-CHANNEL SWIM.
ANOTHER ATTEMPT FAILS.
Times-Sydney Sun Special Cable. (Received September 15, 6.55 p.m.) London, September 14. Montague Holbein, the well-known swimmer, attempted to swim the English Channel on Saturday. He entered the water at 12.55 in the morning and swam till 5 in the afternoon, when a heavy wind and nasty sea caused his abandonment of the venture.
