AUCKLAND CLUB.
The annual general meeting of the Auckland Rowing Club is to be held in the Chamber of Commerce, Swanson Street, tomorrow evening, at 8 p.m..
WEST END CLUB'S REPOET. The 29th annual meeting of the West End Bowing Club is to be held in the boathouse, St. Mary's Bay, Ponsonby, on Wednesday, September 24, at 8 pm. In the annual report reference is made to the continued financial prosperity of the club. The receipts from all sources during the year amounted to £240 8s 7d, leaving a credit balance on the year s operations of £3 10s lOd. Of the 1; I debentures taken up by club members an-. supporters in 1910, an additional 45 have been paid off, leaving a balance of £105, payable on August 81, 1915. It is anticipated, however, that the amount will be paid off long before the due date. During the season, eight seta of fours, one of double sculls, and one of single sculls were held Favourable weather prevailed throughout, and entries for most of the trials were good. The racing throughout was keen, many particularly olose washes being fought out. The club was "At tlotne at the opening and closing trials and tn the President's Day, when afternoon tea km dispensed by the Ladies' Committee and selootiona of music were rendered by the band. the occasion of the final "A Home, two crews of old members competed in the veterans' race, which, as in previous years, proved a most interesting contest Crews competed at the following regattas: — JB 1 Whangarei, Mercer, Ngarnawahla and Eotorua, gaining five first and five second places. Various repairs were effected to the. boathouse, whioh is now in a sound condition The plant, which has been thoroughly overhauled and is now in good order for the coming season, consists of — One Best and Best racer, three Clinker racin« fonrs, five practice fours, three doublescullers (oonvwtible pair oars), two single sculls, one pleasure boat, and a supply of oars and sculls. The committee wish to record their hearty 'appreciation of the unsparing efforts of the Ladies' Committee, who under the leadership of Mrs Pairs, have again contributed so hijehlv towards the success of "At Homes " To the Ladies' Committee of the euchre and social evenings the best thanks of the committee are also due for their kindly assistance at all of those functions Regret is expressed at the loss of one of the club's nost popular membersMr W B Massey—who met his death as the result of an accident in July last
