He discussed o the proposal with the Prime Minister and t other members of the Commonwealth y Government, urging upon their attention, h his view that the light was of interna- I "tional importance, and at least of equal 1 value.to Australia as to New Zealand. g Mr. Andrew Fisher informed him that c he would be glad to go into the matter, * and if the information given him was c correct, the suggestion was a reasonable I one that the Australian Cabinet might I consider. - - ■■.••. Mr. Fisher stated yesterday that he E ■ had also discussed with the Australian t Government the abvisability of maintain- 1 [ ing the wireless station established on 1 » the Macquarrie Islands, for communication < • with Dr. Mawson's ' expedition.
