Choicest colonial is scareo, and prices ax-o unchanged. Secondaries are irregular and tending to become easier. Cheese is quiet; New Zealand 60s to 6is. .• „ WOOL. ' FRUIT AND PRODUCE MARKET. .Exceptionally heavy shipments of local, fruit have been dealt with m tho fruit and produce markets during the week, and prices are again weaker, compared with previous quotations. De&swrt and cooking pears aro in very heavy supply, as aro also apples. Toma-. toes from the Sonth are reaching tho market in largo quantities, and meeting prompt sales at quoted values. Cape gooseberries and passion* are getting short in supply, quinces ate in good demand. Local grapes «re> meeting with good sales, and priced are well rcasiatained. The Talune, from Rarotonga, reached port on Wednesday with a fairly large cargo of fruit, consisting chiefly of oranges. Bananas were scarce and sold well. Tho ]Savua is du» from Suva next -week with bananas, which should meet a fairly good demand. "' " The potato market is well supplied with shipments from the South. The quality is very good. Southern- prices, are inclined to harden, and a good many, locals are still on the market. Onions: A fair amount of business is being done with Southerns, and the market is well supplied. Tho price is easier. Farmers' butter is selling well, and fresh eggs_ have again advanced- ; There is an inquiry for good preserved. FIELD PRODUCE.
