' A telephone message reports an outbreak of fire and devastation at i Portsmouth, a small town near Columbus (Ohio), which was flooded. ' A total of 15,000 people are homeless in Ohio. In Kentucky several towns were flooded and some lives were lost. Army Patrols are protecting the i floodbankß on the Mississippi Riveir ■ wherever they are threatened. '
