RESTAURANT CHARGES.
[BT TELEGRAPH.—PBBS3 ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Wednesday. A proposal had been under consideration by the city restaurant-keepers to increase the price charged for meals, consequent on the increased cost of labour and food supplies. It was found impossible to obtain unanimity, so the idea was dropped for the present. In the meantime an endeavour will be made to organise the trade, with a view to united action in tha future.
