TERRITORIALS MARCH OUT.

SUCCESSFUL ENTRAINING MOVE. PRAISE FROM THE COMMANDANT. [BY TELEGBAPH. — ASSOCIATION.] CHBiSTCBnmcB, Wednesday. The territorials in camp at Yaldhurst were put through a marching, entraining, and detraining move to-day. ">,■. In the morning they marched in from camp and.through the city, and lunched at Hagley Park. They then marched to the railway station, entrained in two troop trains, detrained at Hornby, and marched back to Yaldhurst. The march through town was in every way impressive. The greatest interest was evinced on the part of people and the route must have been lined by many thousands. So keen were some that the aid of taxi-cabs and cabs was invoked, and a journey was made down the route to catch the first glimpse of the territorials. After lunch at Hagley Park, the men marched in two divisions to the station, where two special troop trains were at their command for their return to Hornby. Arrangements for entraining were most excellent, and there was no delay on the station. Without any bustle at all the men were accommodated in their respective oarriagee and in the case, of the., second division the time that elapsed from the tune of the men marching on to the station to that when the train steamed out was only 22m.

"1 was most agreeably surprised with the very fine performance of; the men," Major-General Godley said to a reporter to-night. "The march oh the whole would have done credit to regular troops. The men have marched altogether about 17 miles. I went out in the afternoon and saw them march into camp. ' They marched' in cheerfully, as if they had done only a, few miles. I also saw the entrainment at' Christchurch, and was very much impressed and pleased at the orderly and methodical way it was carried out-, and with the good discipline and, silence of the men." .' •■...■ -
